Finally Thin Update

Random House reports exciting numbers in sales. I don't understand all the numbers, but I do know they've had to go back to press three times since it's release just over two months ago. Whoo Hoo! Mark and I joke that perhaps they're only printing 10 books each time. Ha!

Thank you all for your continued support. I feel so blessed. It's wonderful when you share about the book with others. The following posting made me so happy. It is from the Weight Watchers website chat rooms where I frequently post (anonymously). I enjoy the support and friendships.

Finally Thin Book Release Party!

Old friends and new. People who have made it to goal and those still working on it. Family and coworkers. All celebrated, tasted Finally Thin recipes and had a magical evening. Thank you!

January 2009, Week 1

The book is out and promotion and book signings begin...

Monday a car will pick me up (cool!) to take me to Martha Stewart's studios to be interviewed for their sirius radio network. I'll let everyone know what that experience is like and when it's going to air. My WFSB Better CT segment will be live at 10 am on Tuesday this week (not the regular Wednesday) and Thursday I'll be back in my old stomping grounds at WTNH Channel 8 - live at noon. [Can't wait to give my bud Dr. Mel a hug!]

Thank you for all the wonderful comments. I posted this somewhere else, but it's so true ... all the work, all the exposure, all the fear that when "everyone knows" the real me they'll feel differently about me ... your comments and great reviews have made me feel like I can take my hands off my eyes and look around without peeking through my fingers. Thank you!

December 2008, Week 4 ... Ta Da!!!!

It's December 31st. Yesterday Finally Thin! was released and today I went from Stop & Shop (book dept) to Borders (huge display) to Waldenbooks and just stared at it on the shelf. I wanted to grab anyone passing by and tell them it was my book (I did in one case and I think I scared him half to death). Another stranger took my pic in my local S&S (posted here).

Last night was a real highlight in my life. So many came we had to have a wristband system. Cool! For all of you who came to my release party ... thank you. I'm sure you could tell how much fun I was having chatting with all of you. Two of the dear people who gave me quotes for the back of my book were there. Jack and Donna -- you guys rock! Many of my WW members came, too! I'm getting pics from Paulo (my photographer) and I'll post them as soon as I get them. Love you all!

Countdown to release ... every day it seems I have phone interviews with newspapers, magazines and radio shows. At the office here we're all getting ready for the release party at Written Words bookstore. That's the fun part. If you can make it, I'd love to meet all of you!!!!
