2. At present we have planned four (4) quarterly contests throughout the year, one each in the winter, spring, summer and fall of 2010. The specific dates, deadlines and requirements of each contest will be announced throughout the year in Kim's eNews and other venues.
3. Recipes may be submitted via email (in a Word document or PDF file format only), to recipecontest@kimbensen.com. Submissions may also be snail-mailed to: Kim Bensen Enterprises, Attn: RECIPE CONTEST, 8 Huntington Street #117, Huntington, CT 06484. ALL ENTRIES FOR THE SUMMER 2010 CONTEST MUST BE RECEIVED BY September 12, 2010
4. All recipes will be reviewed for nutritional "lightness" according to calories and fat per serving. "Nutritionally Qualified" entries will then be prepared, photographed and taste-tested by the kimbensen.com staff. All recipes submitted for the Summer 2010 contest must be either Main Dishes.
5. All recipes must include the full name, mailing address, daytime phone number and email address of the submitter.
6. PRIZES:
a. FIRST PLACE (1) $100 gift certificate to the kimbensen.com online store; honorable mention in Kim's eNews; honorable mention in one or more of our cookbooks; a feature on our Premium Site and six (6) months free Premium Membership.
b. SECOND PLACE (1) $50 gift certificate to the kimbensen.com online store; honorable mention in Kim's eNews; honorable mention in one or more of our cookbooks and a feature on our Premium Site.
c. THIRD PLACE (1) $25 gift certificate to the kimbensen.com online store; honorable mention in Kim's eNews; honorable mention in one or more of our cookbooks and a feature on our Premium Site.
d. HONORABLE MENTION (7) will be featured on kimbensen.com and archived as a member recipe on our Premium Site.
e. There will be one (1) GRAND PRIZE WINNER chosen from the four (4) quarterly contest winners at the end of the year. The Grand Prize winner will receive a one year paid Premium Membership, and will enjoy a free six-pack of Kim’s Light Bagels® every month for twelve (12) months. (Some restrictions apply. 7. Judging Criteria: All "Nutritionally Qualified" entries will be judged by a panel of your peers, to be determined, and the staff of Kim Bensen Enterprises, Inc. Judges decisions are final.
a. TASTE: 0-25
b. VISUAL: 0-25 How appetizing the entry looks
c. EASE: 0-25 How easy the recipe is to make
d. LIGHTNESS: 0-25 If the entry is in its lightest possible form
8. We will be converting the recipe and using sophisticated software to factor out calories and squares.
