7 Layer Salad, Kim's

Kim's daughter, Aleeta's favorite salad recipe. This is as delicious as it is beautiful!

8 cups chopped iceberg lettuce
3 large carrots, peeled & sliced
½ cup sliced water chestnuts
2 cups frozen peas, thawed
1 cup fat free shredded cheddar cheese
¾ cup Helmann's Light Mayonnaise
½ cup Hormel Real Bacon Bits

In a large clear bowl, fill the bottom with shredded lettuce. Layer sliced carrots next. Drain the water chestnuts and layer them on top of the carrots. Layer the defrosted peas over the water chestnuts. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top of the water chestnuts. Spread the mayonnaise over the top of the entire mixture. Spread the bacon bits in a thin layer on a separate plate and microwave for about 20 seconds before sprinkling them over the top of the salad.

You should be able see the layers through the side of the clear bowl. Beautiful and yummy!
