McDonald's® Hot Apple Pie, Kim's

Another delicious knock-off recipe. The original: 250 calories, 13g fat per serving!

1 cups apples, peeled and chopped
⅓ cup Whey Low Gold (Brown) Sugar
¾ tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp cornstarch
2 tsp water
1 Kim's Light Flatbread

2 tsp Whey Low Granular sugar
¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice
8 sprays Spray Butter

In a small saucepan, mix water (Start with a tablespoon, then see if you need more. It doesn't take much!), cornstarch, Whey Low Brown Sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Over medium-low heat, stir until dissolved. Add the apples. Cover and cook and stir over medium heat until apples are tender and juices have thickened. Remove from heat and set aside. Cut the Kim's Light Flatbread into quarters. Fold each quarter in half and crease, then open it again. Put 2 Tbsp of filling into one side of each flatbread piece leaving about ¼ inch all around. With the back side of a fork, seal the edges all around, pressing hard to seal. 

Topping: Combine Whey Low Granulated Sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Spray each pie with 2-3 pumps of spray butter and sprinkle sugar mixture evenly over top of each. 

Bake at 350ºF for 10-12 minutes, until flatbread is golden brown and the pie is heated throughout. Serve immediately.
